Okay real talk.
I used to think "money serving tip" meant how to serve money to people. Like generosity.
But then I realized... money can’t serve you if you don’t first learn how to serve it properly.
And I learned this the hard way, from what I call "The Alien Inventory Rule".
Hear me out.
Last year my Confetti business almost died. Not because sales were bad.
But because I was serving my money wrong.
Every time I made profit, I served it to: impulse buying, "treat yourself", flexing, unnecessary data, and "I deserve this" shawarma.
My money was working for everyone except me and my future.
Then I watched this sci-fi movie where aliens came to earth.
And they didn’t waste anything. Water, food, energy... they tracked every single resource.
Because in space, if you waste 1 drop, you die.
That hit me.
I realized: To me, money is like oxygen to those aliens.
If I keep "wasting" it, my business and my life will suffocate.
So I changed how I SERVE my money.
"My best money serving tip: Serve your money with a JOB DESCRIPTION before it enters your account."
Here’s what I mean:
The moment money lands, I assign it 3 jobs immediately:
If I don’t give money a job, it will create its own job. And trust me, its job is usually "disappear".
3 months ago my supplier increased price. Old me would have panicked and borrowed.
But "Future Me Fund" had a job already. It stepped in. No debt.
Last month NEPA took light for 2 weeks. "Bills & Business Fund" handled generator fuel.
No stress.
The truth? Most of us are broke not because we don’t earn, but because our money is jobless.
It enters and wanders around until it gets lost.
So serve your money first. Give it direction.
Treat it like an alien crew member. Every naira has a mission, or it dies in space.
That’s it. That’s the tip.
What’s the best money SERVING tip that has worked for you?
And be honest... what job does your money usually give itself when you’re not looking? 👇
