Before I ever entered a classroom, I already had a teacher at home—my mother.
When I look back at my childhood, I realize that almost everything I know today started with her. She taught me how to walk, patiently holding my tiny hands until I found my balance. She taught me how to speak my first words, celebrating every little sentence that came out of my mouth.
She also taught me things that many people overlook. She showed me how to eat properly, how to wear my clothes neatly, and even how to arrange my slippers after taking them off. At the time, those things felt ordinary, but now I understand they were life lessons wrapped in simple daily routines.
As I grew older, her lessons became bigger than just daily habits. She taught me to greet people respectfully, to be kind, to tell the truth, and to appreciate what I have. She corrected me whenever I made mistakes, not because she wanted to punish me, but because she wanted me to become a better person.
Even before the reading of alphbets in the classroom, my mum have already start singing nd teaching it to my ears
A mother's influence goes far beyond providing food or shelter. She shapes a child's character, values, and way of seeing the world. Even today, whenever I'm faced with a difficult decision, I still hear my mother's voice reminding me to choose what is right.
Looking back, I can confidently say that my first classroom was my home, and my first teacher was my mother. No certificate can fully measure the knowledge, love, patience, and discipline she gave me.
To every mother out there, thank you for teaching lessons that stay with us for a lifetime. Your impact is greater than you may ever know.

Was your mother your first teacher too? I'd love to hear one lesson from your mum that has stayed with you until today.
