Good afternoon Hive family. Today I want to share how I made my simple but very delicious stew......stay with me.

I have been craving stew for days......, so I decided to cook it myself.

THE INGREDIENTS I USED:

  • Fresh Tomatoes
  • Tomato Paste
  • Groundnut Oil
  • Onions
  • Meat
  • Stock Fish
  • Seasoning Cube
  • Salt
  • Crayfish and Pepper (Atarugu)
  • Vegetable (Ugu)

HOW I MADE IT:

First, I washed my fresh tomatoes very well and set them aside. I also arranged my pepper, crayfish, and stock fish. See first row of my pictures.

Then I sliced my onions. I love plenty onions in my stew, it makes it sweet. Next I seasoned my meat with onions, seasoning cube and thyme and left it to boil. I also washed my dry stock fish properly.

After that, I blended my tomatoes and pepper together. I used a small tin of tomato paste to make the color brighter and thicker. You can see the blended mix in the bowl.

I put my pot on fire, added groundnut oil, then added my sliced onions to fry a little. Then I poured my blended tomato mix and tomato paste and fried it well till the water dried. I kept stirring so it would not burn.

When the stew was well fried, I added my boiled meat and stock fish, added salt, seasoning cube and crayfish. I allowed it to cook together for some minutes.

Finally, I added my sliced vegetable (ugu) and green pepper to give it that fresh taste. I stirred and brought it down.

My stew was ready. Very tasty and sweet. I ate it with white rice and I enjoyed myself.

This is how I make my own stew at home. Simple and affordable.

Have you cooked stew this week? What do you add to make yours special?
