Hello everyone. Hope you’re enjoying the festivities.
I’m looking forward to 2023 as 2022 is coming to an end. It feels like the year has gone by very quickly which has provided us the chance to look back and be thankful for all that has happened.
Before the year started I don’t think I made a list of things I wanted to achieve 🤔. However, I’m thankful for the good things that have happened and the lessons I’ve learnt.
First of all I’m very thankful for my life and my health. We tend to take our health for granted and we usually only realize how lucky we are to be alive when we see how others are struggling health wise.
I was very fortunate this year to not fall ill aside the minor cold and headaches of course. I wasn’t hospitalized which is one very big positive that happened in 2022 for me.
I started to more thankful for my life a year ago in 2021 when I visited my friend in the hospital. He was in the hospital room with another patient and whilst I was there the other patient passed. He laid there lifeless as he was carried to the morgue. I said to myself that day, “so this is how it all ends?”.
I’m a muslim and another thing I’m thankful for this year is learning more about my religion. There’s “Madrasa” in my school every weekend and I was encouraged by a friend to attend start attending. I didn’t want to at first but she did manage to convince me and I must say it was a good thing I listened. I don’t tell her often but I’m very thankful she convinced me to attend. I’ve learned more about my religion.
I’m also very thankful for my parents, my family, and my friends. I’m quite close to my nuclear family and I’m very glad I have them in my life. I don’t have a lot of friends but the few that are are a blessing. We encourage each other to pursue new opportunities just as we’ve done with hive. We’re in constant communication and encouraging each other o keep posting and investing on the platform.
Since joining hive I’ve developed the interest in reading and writing which will not only help me here but will also help my academics when school resumes. I’ve also become more interactive and more open this year.
This year 2022 is the one I finally decided to start working out. I started working out just last month in November and it hasn’t been easy. I’m hoping to make posts about it soon and share my progress with you guys.
Going to the gym or working out has been a dream of mind for a while now. I’ve postponed it till now. I decided it was time to get that off my bucket list and so far so good. It hasn’t been easy and I must admit it’s been very challenging. There are times I ask myself why I even got myself involved in this to begin with. 😅
Thank you.
