The Great Battle Duel Challenge
I was planning to use Kelya Frendul or General Sloan to fight with physical attack or range attack because heavy hitters are strong on physical damage and speed to knock them out as well as the ability to stun them so they can't move and counterattack them outrageously. I had no idea that my opponent would use magic, as fire is the only element banned. I didn't expect to run into magic, but fortunately, I was using Immortalis, which helped me negate some of the magic in some way. However, if I can't keep my monster on the field, I'll get knocked out and lose the battle, so in general, I carefully consider which card to play. And finally, if I'm interpreting this challenge correctly, the healing strategy and martyr combo are the keys to victory.
Battle Condition
The earthquake battle condition is what makes this challenge so difficult to overcome. Initially, I was only focused on the healing powers, however fortunately, I have a level 8 Pelacor mercenary who has the flying ability. What luck! Snipe rules have also been set, allowing my range attackers to snipe, resulting in putting some distant attackers for this challenge.
Tankers
I have a level 8 Pelacor Mercenary against a level 8 Pelacor Conjurer in this task at hand; who is the best tanker? What are my chances? I have void magic, flying, and tank healing, which are the only things that can keep my defender alive throughout the battle, while Pelacor Conjurer can return magic damage, which is useful for my adversary defending against some of my magic creatures.
The Power of Martyr
I created this "suicide squad" "martyr" ability specifically to boost Regal Peryton, one of my flying monsters. This strategy is awesome, and I love to see how it will be effectively carried out. I have two martr abilities sticking in between my Regal Peryton: Venari Marksrat will automatically die for this because he will be sniped by my opponent giving his life to gain power for Regal Peryton, and then fungus flinger will die on the earthquake because he doesn't have a flying creature which will provide Regal Peryton more Power, among others. My main worry is that my opponent is quite powerful, but I think I can handle his strength with this tactic. Let's witness the battle and the conclusion to this challenge.
Opponent Power House
Let's see how powerful the deck he has is; as you can see from the image above, these four cards are legends, making it extremely exhilarating to see. Kudos to my opponent, whose lineup consisted entirely of flying monsters. Check out those figures and the damage boost he had. What insane stats! I'm unsure if my suicide squad will be able to destroy those legendary cards.
- Adelaide Brightwing
- Black Dragon
- Gold Dragon
- Void Dragon
These four cards are level 3 legendary, and he was able to summon level 3 legendaries by using a level 8 common summoner and the name of the summoner dragon is DELWYN DRAGONSCALE. He accommodated these enormous cards with just 33 mana available on this mission. He was sure he could use magic to defeat me, and if I hadn't known about Immortalis, I might not have had an opportunity to fight back against him.
Early Match up
My opponent's magic rages began as soon as the first round began, and I chose to remain passive and use my level 3 Immortalis' void magic to shield my line-up. As anticipated, my Venari Marksrat is filling our tanks, Pelacor Mercenary and Regal Peryton, while fighting for glory after his death. Despite my best efforts, my opponent's Void dragon is successfully tanking all the damage that I have inflicted on him. Given that he thwarted some of my attacks in the first round, it is rather irritating to see. The card that my opponent without wings which is Ooze was gone instantly when the Earthquake started off, and my Khmeer Princess perished due to seismic activity.
In the first round of the battle, I believe Adelaide Brightwing's use of the repair ability is futile and resurrection ability causes Ooze to be promptly reincarnated after dying from the earthquake. However, Ooze is not helpful in this task because he merely slows down my monster without having any effect on the damage to my side. Therefore, employing those tactics to my benefit meant misusing their abilities. Instead of what I witnessed during the battle, which indicates that the resurrection is meant for Pelacor Conjurer and not Ooze, that is what I am thinking about the scenario: He forgot that Ooze cannot fly.
Mid-Game Encounter
As the middle-term battles progressed, I was not expecting to lose a lot in this encounter. I also failed my suicide squad combo, and my Regal Peryton unexpectedly perished. I had thought I had something up my sleeve, but sadly, I was progressively destroyed while accelerating. I only have two monsters left to support myself and return to finish this job.
The martyr is supposed to do its job of creating a strong Regal Peryton, but the snipe rules were overly harsh, causing my opponent to hit my Regal Peryton diligently until it eventually disappeared from the system's structure. I was unable to execute the aforementioned plan, and I am aware that I could lose this challenge as a result of using incorrect positioning and techniques on the battlefield.
End Game
As you can see, it was a one-man fight against this trio of legendary cards. Pelacor Mercenary outperformed my Regal Peryton. He was able to withstand the damage from the trio of legendary cards, and the healing he received was so robust that sustain itself and allowed him to kill three enemies in consecutive turns. I was relieved to see my Pelactor Mercenary make a comeback because I believed the conflict was over. But it was also a game of comeback and a teaching moment for me. Pelacor Mercenary deserves a Trophy for this for giving its best potential Reward Card for destroying legendary cards!
