In our country, we have a holiday called Navruz that is celebrated on March 21. Navruz means New Day when translated into English. Due to the equinox on this day, we usually celebrate it as a New Year. A few hundred years ago, our ancestors celebrated the New Year on this day. The day before Navruz, our women cook a lot of pastries at home. According to tradition, if everything is full in the house when Navruz comes, it is believed that there will be a flood during the whole year. On Navruz, everyone visits each other's houses. The table is set in everyone's house. In our house, we also prepared a beautiful table, and I cooked various pastries before the holiday. This is our table set before our guests arrive. This is one of our national customs.
On our table, one of the cookies I made was a fried bun( I think this is a true translation). We also cook it from the dough of ordinary bread, just cut it into small pieces and fry it in oil. It is very tasty, especially children love to eat it.
And this is aspic. Aspic is mainly made from beef legs and meat. We cook it for about 8-10 hours. When it is hot, it is soup, and when it cools down, it will look like this. Rich in calcium, it is tasty and healthy.
This is sumalak, our traditional food. It also takes a lot of work and 24 hours to get it ready. It can even be made a separate big post about its preparation)))
And this is Samsa. Samsa is also one of our national dishes. We prepare it by putting various things like potatoes, meat, pumpkin, spinach in butter dough. We love to eat all kinds. This Samsa is filled with meat and potatoes.
