Not too long ago, I revisited a park鈥攚hich, coincidentally, was the last one I鈥檇 visited with my family: my parents, my brother, and my grandmother. I have very fond memories of a wonderful afternoon spent with my family. For that reason, it鈥檚 nice to be able to revisit places where we鈥檝e been happy, even though the saying doesn鈥檛 quite put it that way. What about you鈥攄o you like revisiting places that hold good memories? Or do you prefer discovering new locations and spots? I鈥檒l admit that both options have their merits, so for me, it鈥檚 always a pleasure to revisit and reminisce about good times.
This urban park is located very close to the riverside area and the mouth of the Jamor River. It was built and designed to bring together leisure, the surrounding natural environment, and sports, which hold particular importance here in this area.
This importance stems from the fact that this park is very close to the Jamor National Stadium, a large-capacity sports complex with a long history of hosting not only soccer events but also many clay-court tennis tournaments, rugby matches, and some track and field meets. The complex also features facilities including a 50-meter pool, which allows for the hosting of national, European, or international events. Very close to this location is the Faculty of Human Kinetics, one of the oldest institutions with a history deeply rooted in the region.
This afternoon, I decided to take a walk, check out the rugby and soccer fields again, as well as the climbing wall and the artificial waterway created for water sports. You can rent kayaks on-site and have a fun time with friends. The Jamor Nautical Center is also located here, offering a variety of outdoor and water activities, such as water polo.
I took the opportunity to go for a long walk, and I have to say I鈥檓 eager to return soon鈥攁nd not let as much time pass as has since my last visit. There are several walking trails that run along the Jamor River. Since they aren鈥檛 circular, next time I鈥檒l need to come prepared with water and a sandwich to make it through the 10+ km route.
I hope you enjoyed this little stroll with me. This place is truly delightful, and I can鈥檛 let so much time pass before my next visit. Any outdoor spot where I can connect with nature has always been a great weekend plan for me!
