We are very quickly running out of wood, but our room is still warm (2022.12.06)
Before I describe the topic in the title, I would like to show something cute. Hopefully it will make your day better too. A few minutes ago my Harris's hawk was slept on my arm.
And she slept, while she standed on one leg. She lifted up her other leg.
No wonder that she is sleepy. We are near midnight, as I write this post. Currently the local time is 23:11 CET.
Now about the wood. 11 days ago (on 2022.11.25) my brother paid 30 580 Hungarian Forint (HUF) for 3.20 quintal (320 kg) wood, which was $77.03 USD at that time, because $1 USD was 397.00 HUF.
It is running out much more faster than we thought. And the winter is not even that cold yet. So the heating will be much more expensive than what we initially thought/expected.
Fortunately/luckily I currently have 970 Hive. I will sell it, if I will need it. I currently also have $266.55 HBD savings, but I do not want to sell that nowadays. I will sell the Hive in a case of emergency. I am very determined to build the Hive Dollar (HBD) savings to get out of poverty.
Speaking of the Hive Dollar (HBD) savings, I would like to say a huge thank you to @lichtblick, because today afternoon she transferred $5 HBD to me as a "Little Christmas gift".
Of course it is not little for me. It is a very good help, and I am very grateful for this. Thank you so much, and Merry Christmas. I really appreciate this, and of course I already transferred it to savings.
Probably soon I will need to sell some Hive, but not Hive Dollars (HBD). We currently have a very low amount of wood. Probably it will enough for a few days. And mostly we do not even heat in the daylight. Only in the evenings/night. This is crazy. Heating with wood is crazy expensive. Probably everything is crazy expensive nowadays.
We brought most of the wood what we still have into the room, so it is at hand.
We really heat only, when it is cold outside (mostly in the evenings/nights), but the wood is burning much faster than what we initially thought/expected.
We are trying to use as little wood as possible, but we do not want to sit in a cold room either. We are trying to find a good balance.
Thank you again for the support and for the help. Merry Christmas to everyone.
Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.
