If we are going to compare ourselves to something, might as well do it to the big dog on the block. In cryptocurrency, that is Bitcoin.

Hopefully not for long. Bitcoin (BTC) is outdated. Many cryptocurrencies are much better than it in multiple aspects. Even (or rather) especially Hive.

For example, as @thelogicaldude wrote, "Hive had the major advantage of the human readable addresses".

And the fast and free transactions are also huge advantages.
