Do you mean squatters and hippies? I heard about them worldwide, and I even know some of them from the internet. I know even about people, who live in caves in Spain with solar powered electricity. Good for them. No rent, no bills, no worries. Free life.
Nowadays I live in Hungary, and I live in financial discrimination. This means that I receive a pension-like income, and I also work in a four hours part time job, but my total income still does not reach the local minimum wage. My total income is approximately only $470 USD, but the local minimum wage is approximately $550 USD. This results in the fact that sometimes I have to choose between paying rent/bills and buying food.
