Who really feels like writing and writing and writing to just have your post sit with votes and no sort of interaction?
If you write mostly for yourself, then this is good. It can be good, if you write for an audience too. People not always have something meaningful to comment, but they still enjoy reading the post, and/or viewing the photos.
Now if you're sitting with no votes as well as no replies, it is even more important to go out there and reply to other people's posts. Read their post and leave thoughtful well-written replies to them. Give them a reason to come check out your blog.
The reason is the content itself. As it should be on every blog. Those, who read/view my posts, and write a comment under my posts, are doing it out of real, genuine interest, and not because I checked anyone's posts, nor because of my Hive power (I do not have much). The same is true, when I read/view other people's posts, and when
I write a comment under anyone's post. And of course I reply to (and/or upvote) the comments under my posts.
