Continuing with "The Great RV Adventure of July 2007". Finally made it up to that RV park near Julian! But not without 3-4 scenes, just like this, a couple times along the road up the mountain. One of which, I had to put out an engine fire and then play around with a few things to get it running again! Then, at the gate of the RV park, it conked out again and blocked everybody trying to get in until I could get it pushed down the hill and resting here.
Apparently, one little detail I didn't spend quite enough time on before setting out on this trek - transmission fluid! It leaks. And when it leaks, the tranny slips. And when it slips, the engine overheats. And when it overheats too much, the engine conks out (or catches fire).
Anyway, here I am at the RV park, waiting for the "Dreamer" to cool down enough, so that I could limp out to my "FREE" camping spot. Fun, fun, fun! :-)
