Last night I came home for holidays. At 13:30 I left Suzhou, after ten and a half hours I finally arrived home. It was so a long haul and I’ve never experienced this before.
Actually I didn’t want to come back at first. Until yesterday’s morning, when I was doing exercise, I still didn’t buy bus ticket. Later, I thought that it’s the Mid-Autumn Festival, if I didn’t go back, my parents would feel alone. Then, I immediately opened my phone and bought the bus ticket.
I really didn’t expect that the traffic was so terrible. Yesterday was the previous day of the holiday and had been raining the whole day. When the bus drove on the road, I saw so many cars moving very slowly. At that moment, an idea occurred to me that I wanted to get off the bus and didn’t go back. Anyway, it was just a sudden thought, and I didn’t do like that.
During the long haul, the good thing was that I took my Kindle. I downloaded several books before, so I picked a book about Roman history. After reading it, I finally understand that there’re some sayings exist so long, such as “Rome wasn’t built in a day.” “All roads lead to Rome.” Now I’m increasingly interested in history and economics. I find that there’re so many many books needed to read. But, it seems that there’s less time to finish the goal. I think that I need a little patience and don’t waste more time on using phone.
The holiday has eight days. I must live a full life.
