I haven't been to Mythic for ages. Recently, I even reminded myself the name of the rank that is below Auric. I don't know why but it hurts to be lower than Solar. Maybe because I've been playing this game for more than a year and a half daily, not counting a few passes like most hard covid days, a 16-hour flight to Southeast Asia, 24-h bus trips... So, the lucky deck:
Deck code: GU_1_2_CCmCCmCDnCDnCCQIAlIAlCDDCDDIClIClCEPCEPKCiKCiCFMCFMICyICqICqIAkIAkKCpKCpCEcCEcCAbKCuKDXKDL
74.1% winrate from Auric to Mythic but 0 games in Mythic.
My WR Results:
Beguiling Blades make the deck less aggro. They decrease the winrate against all sorts of Mages, for example. But they help a lot against aggro decks. Considering the fact how many people play aggro War nowadays, Beguiling Blade is one of the key cards that has helped me to rise.
Nowadays, War guys often have no Sole Survivor and even no Another Round so Beguiling Blade, by stealing strength, actually kills a creature. Thus, I usually don't finish these 0-strength minions - better to hit the face.
I always try to mulligan Beguiling Blade when I play against War.
Umber Arrow sometimes was a dead card but it could win the game as well. But since some point, War became Umber-Arrow-resistant - not many cards to target and every War player knew that aggro Deception means Umber Arrow.
Probably, the most unusual choice.
The card was always amazing but there was no space for another couple of spells in aggro Deception decks. But this time, there were vacant slots since I didn't want to have Umber Arrow, Bound by Her Will, and Hunting Trap.
Beating a aggro Light deck with Lysander's Spear
Team Up is a way to hide creatures but it also is a sort of substitute of Umber Arrow. For example, if you cast Team Up on Armor Lurker, you can kill 2 creatures and sometimes even without losing Lurker. This is what I mean when I compare it to Umber Arrow - it clears the board. But it also hides.
Team Up gives permanent hidden so when you need to lie low for a couple of turns - you can do it. For example, you can keep Marcella's Rogue hidden, waiting for a beefy creature.
Besides, opponents don't expect Team Up, many of them are even unaware that this card exists, and this is another advantage.
In such situation, you can save the Shapeshifter with Assassin's Aims or Pietro if you play a typical HRD. In my deck with 2 Team Up, I have 5 ways altogether to do so.
Another thing that nobody awaits that you have 3 ways (2 Team Ups, and 1 Pietro) to hide creatures without damaging them with god power or Assassin's Aim.
This allows, for example, to hit with a buffed minion not 2 times, but 3 (up to 5). That's absolutely aggro. For example:
Turn 1. You drop Phase Crawler.
Turn 2. You buff Phase Crawler with Assassin's Aim and hit the face = 6 damage.
Turn 3. You hit the face and hide buffed Phase Crawler with Team Up = 12 damage.
Turn 4. You hit the face = 18 damage.
If you are lucky, you can hide buffed Phase Crawler 2 times more with another Team Up and Pietro.
The same about, Lurker + Dark Knives. You can hide it with god power first time, and, then, with Team Up.
It also means that buffed Switched Duelist has better chance to hit one more time.
Another use case. A typical scene: a War guy drops White Fur Guard against your skinny minions. Hit the White Fur Guard with god power, cast Team Up, hit the opponent's face with your minions. If there are other enemy creatures on the board, clear it with twin strike where it's possible. And disappear in hidden at the end of turn. White Fur Guard has no protected the next turn, so you can kill it with, for example, 1-mana Felid Assassin + god power.
All experienced Deception players know that you should sometimes keep Armor Lurker untouched for a turn or two. I use this tactics a lot in case of other creatures too. Very helpful against War since nobody has Carnage Sweep nowadays.
The formula is: if you can't win the board just don't move 馃榿 and wait support: Beguiling Blades, Team Up, Stoneskin Poison, Makeshift Shiv, Pietro.
Felid Assasin is a true hero of lying down. For example, I drop it against Anubians and don't touch it as long as possible until it has a proper target - Priestess of Takhat or Raving Necromancer.
Felid Assasin is an amazing card against aggro War with all their 3-health creatures. I like dropping Felid Assasin as early as possible and keep it hidden until the proper target appears on the board. If I have Beguilding Blade to steal strength to 0, I can start clearing the board with Felid Assassin.
Felid Assasin is vulnerable to 1-damage spells and this is fine because 1-mana Felid Assasin can bait a spell and, thus, make the game safer for Lady Marcella. 馃榿
Felid Assasin is flank and that's great against Cursed Obelisks.
Not classic aggro Deception card but it works well. Unlike Patient Pickpocket, it can copy cards many times. You can protect Dedicant with Beguiling Blades or hide it (so many options) to have as long as possible.
Blitz and leech, what a gift!
And, believe me or not, I win games with Avraxuses from time to time thanks to Ludia's Dedicant.
Other cards are classic for HRD and they don't need an introduction. But I'll praise one of them. 馃榾
Olympian War slowly buffs its creatures in hand so Surprise Delivery is a good way to make them powerless

This is about my deck 馃榿 Full shadow+ 馃
MJ cards cost almost nothing so getting more daily rewards is the main thing to do in the game nowadays.
I deciced to invest in shiny cards (they cost pennies) since, at some point, whatever I played I was in Auric and, at best, in Solar 馃榾 So, why should I play meteorite Shadows of Lethenon or Shade Walker, if a deck without them has the same performance? 馃榾 (I sold cats and walkers and almost all expensive cards).
Prices for meteorite Ludia's Dedicant. It will be 1$ + 0.6 $GODS for gold
I forged 2 gold Ludia's Dedicant, the second gold Team Up, and I bought shadow Pietro.
And I also forged a diamond Sneaky Bruiser a month ago or so. Also, I forged 1 gold Felid Assassin, and I'll have the second one soon.

For sure! It could be I'll derank right tomorrow. Let's see. I just wanted to celebrate this amazing ascend by writing this post 馃檪
Thanks for reading! And good luck with your GU battles! 馃槑
