Well, for me, August came in blistering hot like the sun and is leaving just the same.
August is one of my favourite months of the; there are only 11 other months that I like more than August, which I suppose is saying something. August is hot. Hot. Hot. I like summer. I like being outside in the summer, feeling the sun on face not freezing. I just don't like the extreme heat, just like I'm not a big fan of -30 degree winters (Celsius or Fahrenheit - at that temperature it doesn't really matter).
But August has some great things going for it. When it doesn't rain the grass stops growing and doesn't need mowing; for a lad with grass allergies, I enjoy that.
August also leads into September and autumn, which leads into October and Halloween. After that is more November autumn and then Christmas. It's a great four months! I look forward to all of that in August, so it's not all that bad.
So let's get into some music! Three Tune Tuesday is organised by 
A Perfect Day was recorded by the McKee Trio in 1915. The instruments used are a violin, cello, and piano.
Next up we have another trio, Van Eps Trio, with a banjo, saxophone, and piano, playing a song called Raspberries. Banjo's are really an under-rated instrument; they have a really great sound to them. Live bluegrass with a good banjo player is really fantastic and, for me, the instruments lends itself really well to old shellac recordings.
Finally we've got a song with which to dance our way into September. Struttin' at the Strutters Ball is a really fun, moving fox-trot. What should you do when you're at the Strutters Ball? Why, you should Strut, of course!
