So it begins! December! And with it, it brings joys and good tidings of Lego Advent Calendars.
I honestly do not remember when I first saw a Lego Advent calendar, but it was a number of years ago. Several years back I had gotten one each for each of my boys, but they were only interested in the chocolate ones, so I ended up doing all three Lego advent calendars on my own. Luckily for me I enjoy Lego!
This year I'm scaled back to the one Lego advent for me, and chocolate for the boys. We're all happy with that, and it gives me another reason to decorate my desk. Here you can see the advent on the far side of the desk.
This year's chosen calendar is the Harry Potter theme. In the past I've had "Lego City" and "Star Wars" as well. When complete, this one this year turns into a game. Let's look behind door number 1!
Every day a new small lego toy awaits to be built. I'll be perfectly honest, I'm not very sure what this particular toy is intended to be. It is from the first book - The Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone, but I'm having a hard time putting toy to book, so to speak. It'll come to me, I'm sure, but right now I'm left scratching my head. I wonder if it will end up being paired with one of the toys-yet-to-be.
