As the shadowy face looms above you, close enough for you to feel the hot breath on your face, you stay as still as possible.
What were you thinking!?
Maybe you thought that this stranger would assume you'd slipped unconscious. Or that you'd suddenly dropped dead. But either way, it was probably a stupid move - after all, he'd just heard you yelp in pain.
The strange person touches your face with their nose, and begins sniffing various parts of your face. Your eyes are closed - after all, you're playing dead - but you can smell stale blood.
The person then places their lips on yours. Perhaps your plan worked? Were you being resuscitated?
Unfortunately not. Without warning, the stranger pushes hard against your mouth. You feel sharp teeth sink into your tongue, and then the stranger pulls.
You hear the sickening sound of ripping and your mouth fills with hot blood. You begin choking, and then the pain kicks in.
It is possibly the worst pain you have ever felt. You try to shout "Help!", but you have no tongue with which to form the word. And you can't stop spluttering as blood runs down your throat and catches in your windpipe.
The stranger stomps away while you writhe in agony, drowning in your own blood.
As your body contorts in pain, your foot connects with a heavy object. It topples, sending a selection of knives flying towards the ground.
What appears to be a very sharp meat cleaver lands, blade down, next to your head. It severs the rope binding your neck.
What do you do next?
Take the meat cleaver and fling it in the direction of the stranger eating your tongue
Sit up to stop yourself choking on your own blood
End your own life with the meat cleaver
