Hello everyone at Worldmappin! I'm @lauramica and I'm here to share with you our Wednesday Travel Digest. I hope you enjoy the places we visited today ❤️.
This time, our featured posts take us on a nature walk in the village of Saint Cirq Lapopie in France, a tour of the historic streets of Cartuja Baja in Zaragoza, and a beautiful view from a hotel on Margarita Island, Cuba. We also visit other parts of the world, including Portugal, Argentina, Poland and Indonesia. A little bit of everything! :)
Thank you all for sharing your posts on the Worldmappin map. Have a great day! 😃❤️
Walk with me through nature, along the cliffs of the village of Saint Cirq Lapopie and the river Lot ~ in France 🇫🇷 The village is literally perched on top of the steep cliff, but we won’t be visiting the village itself. We go… off the beaten path. We will walk below it, along the river “LOT”, see some wildlife and pass by a lock. We walk over the footbridge and walls from the lock to enjoy the views of the beautiful old mill “Moulin de l’Aulanac”. As we walk further we walk along the cliff/ and the rock facade will tower high above us probably more than 200 meters. Where the town of Saint Cirq Lapopie is located, all the way on top. Our views along the way will show the village above us from below. We go through fields where we enjoy the birds singing and see hundreds of wildflowers.

Today, I invite you to join me on a stroll through a unique neighbourhood in Zaragoza. The streets we will walk through were once part of a Carthusian monastery. Now, those buildings, or at least the ones that remain, have been converted into private homes and public buildings. The Low Carthouse is a rural neighbourhood connected to the rest of the city by road, but at a considerable distance, so the atmosphere is very peaceful. When we park, we can see Zaragoza in the distance, and if we turn around, we are facing what was once the main entrance to the monastery.

Greetings, dear fellow travelers! I wish you a wonderful week full of new experiences and unforgettable landscapes. Today, I want to share with you a hidden gem among the charms of Margarita Island: the Hesperia Margarita hotel, one of those places that leaves a lasting impression on those lucky enough to visit it. This hotel is located on Simplicio Rodríguez Avenue, in the municipality of Gómez, Nueva Esparta state. Its imposing and elegant presence makes it a landmark for those passing through this area. It was inaugurated in 1994, although according to locals, its official opening with all the luxury and splendor that characterizes it took place in 1997
