No, I wasn't actually stranded on this island. This is just a metaphor to describe the situation at hand. I had a long time to explore Ha Long Bay, and everywhere I went, there were too many people. This was my final destination in Halong Bay, so let's get to it!

The name, as you can read on its entrance sign, is intended to refer to the American gangster Alphonse Gabriel "Al" Capone (Scarface). The legend surrounding this property attributes its ownership to him. Great stories of sumptuous parties and alcoholic beverage trafficking during Prohibition in the United States can be heard from some of the inhabitants of this region.

Of all the temples in Ayutthaya, this is the Grand Palace, built by King U-Thong and he order the reconstructed into a temple in 1448. That's what I read and heard from a team member stand next to me as I enter the temple. I accidentally overheard a tour guide explaining the details.
