This region consists largely of a vast plateau surrounded on all sides by high mountains. The snow had already receded considerably on the plateau, but a trip into the mountains clearly showed that winter wanted to linger around there even longer.

Today I was walking through the old streets of Vigo in Galicia, Spain to visit a fortress that together with the castle of "San Sebastian" created a military barrier to protect the city from possible enemies and pirates from the Atlantic. The strategy of the fort is to have a 360 degree field of vision focusing all the firepower on the Vigo River. We are going to learn something interesting today.🌍🗺️
