Today I will take you to the medieval village of Stanjel. Stanjel is one of the oldest settlements in the Karst, recognisable by its old centre. It is located in western Slovenia, close to the Italian border, more precisely on the north-eastern edge of the Karst plateau. Today, it is home to about thousand inhabitants.

Last month, I visited the charming town of Fiesole located near Florence.I absolutely love this place and I want to both explore it myself and share it with you. It鈥檚 the perfect escape from the crowds and tourists in Florence. Originally founded by the Etruscans, Fiesole later became part of the Roman Empire. At one time it even had a rivalry with Florence, but eventually Florence took control. Beyond its historical significance, Fiesole has a peaceful and serene vibe. Just what you need after the hustle and bustle of Florence.

There is a lot to write about this journey but the point is that the world of words is very small and the world of feelings is very vast towards space. Reaching 280 km away from home in the dangerous winter of Himalayas and that too on a scooter is an adventure in itself. Driving the scooter in the valleys, crossing the difficult paths, we are not able to reach Chopta because there is black ice and snow on the road due to which the scooter is slipping on the road.
