Winter in Sardinia is quite mild, but it can feel very cold because of the maestrale, a cold and damp north wind that cuts right through to your bones. On top of that, being so used to the sun, we islanders also feel the weight of the shorter, grayer days. So, with my second post in the #WinterChallenge by Worldmappin, I want to show you the place where I need to go when the icy heart of winter beats its final pulses, and spring begins to awaken with its scents and light.

馃 Ribadeo: A jewel in northern Spain (ENG-ESP) by castri-ja@castri-ja

Yesterday was a sunny day although with low temperatures so it was a good day to go to the neighbouring town of Ribadeo in the morning to enjoy a walk near its marina, visit the lighthouse of Isla Pancha and walk along the coast of this municipality that has wonderful places like the port of Rinlo where I enjoyed a great rice with seafood and as a finale although the afternoon was already cloudy a visit to the beach of the Cathedrals. Ribadeo is a small town situated in Galicia, separated from Asturias by the mouth of the river Eo, but linked to Asturias by a bridge and by all the Asturians who visit this wonderful town.

馃 Christmas atmosphere in Castille Place(Valletta), Malta by triplug@triplug

At the beginning of December 2022 we had a short vacation in Malta, if you want you can check my older posts to learn more about the sights we visited and I haven't yet managed to share with you all the places we went to. So today I thought to share with you a little bit of the atmosphere of December 2022, a month of celebrations, of gifts, a magical month, I must admit that Malta left me open-mouthed, it is so beautiful and with many special places. Today started at the hotel with breakfast, our accommodation was in St. Julian's, but we didn't stay here, we wanted to explore the capital of Malta, Valletta, I find it very interesting that Valletta is the smallest capital in the European Union.
