The intricate wood work and stone foundation showcased the timeless beauty of the region鈥檚 craftsmanship. Nested in the picturesque location the house stood surrounded by lush greenery with towering mountains as its backdrop. The peaceful surrounding with only the sound of nature breaking the silence made it the perfect moment to capture.

馃 A Divine Hike to Surkanda Devi Temple (2754m) by
@himalayanwombWinter has arrived in the entire Himalayas, snowfall has occurred on the high peaks and now the lower range is waiting for fresh snow. The temperature in the Trans Himalayas has gone down to -8 degrees while the minimum temperature in the plains has gone down to 4-6 degrees. Several feet of snow falls on the Himalayan mountains in winters, so hiking, trekking, everything stops here in winters. I travel a little smart in winters, like I go to such places where snow falls in inches and not feet. Such a place can be reached and one can also return without any problem. So let's go on such a hike.

馃 Northern Lights Village Deu/Eng by
@lxsxlNow it must be said that one of our main goals for this holiday was to see the Northern Lights. However, the forecast before we arrived was not exactly rosy, as little activity and cloudy skies were predicted. Our hotel had a special app for this, which we of course downloaded onto our phones as soon as we arrived. This sounds the alarm as soon as the Northern Lights are seen over the holiday village. Shortly before midnight, and contrary to expectations, the time had come. The alarm went off and woke us up. We were immediately wide awake and searched the sky through our glass roof. But all we saw were light veils, a little reminiscent of thin clouds or fog.
