Hello my friends. I want to share our amazing trip to Assisi, a charming town in Italy. During our visit, we explored magnificent Italian churches, strolled through Assisi鈥檚 historic streets, enjoyed gelato at an old caf茅 and browsed a shop selling beautiful Italian leather bags. The old town of Assisi left a lasting impression on me.
Our journey began in Santa Maria degli Angeli, a quaint part of Assisi located 4 km south of the old town, 218 meters above sea level. This area features the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, built in the 16th century under Pope Pius V to highlight the importance of the Franciscan Order. This grand basilica, with its impressive dome and three naves surrounded by chapels, was reconstructed after a 19th-century earthquake. Atop the basilica stands a golden bronze Madonna statue crafted by sculptor Calasanti.

Hello friends, I鈥檓 continuing to share my journey through Madeira and after Funchal, our next stop was the charming fishing village of C芒mara de Lobos. It鈥檚 surrounded by a beautiful bay. This place is sometimes called Churchill Bay or Churchill Cove because the UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill once stayed here for health reasons. As a result the area became quite popular among British retirees, many of whom bought property here. It鈥檚 really a lovely village and when I visited, there was also a festival happening, called Rotori, with the streets decorated for the occasion, which added an extra liveliness to the village.
Since Churchill鈥檚 visit, Madeira became much more well-known. Churchill painted many watercolors here, drawing inspiration from the stunning views and his statue is located right by the bay. When I was there, a celebration was taking place, with a big fireworks show at 12 o鈥檆lock and it continued in the neighboring village. I鈥檇 say there鈥檚 a celebration almost every day here.

Hello friends. The hiking season in Bulgaria is almost over. At the end of the season, we decided to climb Botev Peak with a one-day hike. This peak is the highest point of the Stara Planina mountain range, an impressive and beautiful mountain range stretching across Bulgaria. That's why we knew this hike would be quite interesting.
We set off early in the morning, as the weather looked promising. We needed to drive about 15 km to reach the parking area near Pleven Mountain Hut. After 15 minutes we arrived at the parking lot. This is the parking lot for the Pleven Mountain Hut, which is said to be paid, though not always. There is also a cable car here. Historically, this cable car was used only for transporting goods and for tourists' backpacks to be carried up the mountain. However, over time, it was used only for goods and was eventually dismantled.
