Night Skies In Nunavut

Night skies in Nunavut are a thing of wonder. During the dark season, you can see stars from 3 pm to 10 am easy. But during the summer months, from May to the end of July, you don't get a "night" sky. It's 24 hours of sunlight. I haven't had the chance to experience that yet, but it is soon to come. The days are already a lot longer and the sun is almost cresting the horizon when I take my wife, @arcticgypsy to work in the morning. It should be interesting to have days longer than nights before the snow is gone. It will be really strange to try and go to bed with the sun doing a lazy loop around your head. I am simultaneously looking forward to it, and not looking forward to it.

Oh, and I'm so far north that the aurora's aren't all that spectacular here. And as a bonus fact, we have to look south to see the "northen" lights. :D
