There's not too many canyons in the Texas Hill country around San Antonio, just alotta cedar and mesquite trees. Mary took us towards Uvalde, just west of San Antonio last Thursday, and yesterday she took my sister back to Campwood to pick up a kitten she was going to adopt. It's a scenic drive, but I couldn't go yesterday. The last time we went, we looked for arrowheads on her property, it's along a river where Indians used to live and hunt. It was so cool. I'm going to take my metal detector next time. I think if I ever want to see a canyon in Texas, I might have to head way west, right before New Mexico.
