Today I went on a road trip with my sister and a friend of mine to the Texas Hill country, about 120 miles west of San Antonio, to the City of Campwood. Our friend has property out there and hadn't been back in four years, since the death of her husband.
It was a very scenic drive with lots of hills and mountains.
The property sits upon about 100 acres and has some livestock roaming the land and clearing it of it's vegetation.
They make great lawn mowers.
After a very therapeutic visit, we went by City Hall to pay her property tax on this vacation hideaway. We laughed, looked for arrowheads, had lunch in town, then headed back to San Antonio just in time to hit the drive home traffic.
This turned out to be a perfect day!
