it sits there
motionless
metallic
processing all
but from the outside
doing nothing
speaking
numerically
we cannot understand
the long past
a history
forgotten
is somehow marked
within its
metal mind
who was
its creator
or perhaps
there was none,
mayhap
it has always existed
perhaps
it will outlive all of us
a creation
of pure wonder
