before this
the life lived
long and well
there were others
perhaps many
visions of them
difficult to find
but occasionally
through the fog of time
they break through
sometimes only
a single ray of light
and within it
a moment in time
but in that
after the confusion,
a knowledge
an ability
to see beyond the veil
the wall that blocks us all in,
binds us to this one,
we can see the many
lived before,
and us in them,
larning
and understanding
