A challenge for those who like and appreciate the Seventh Art or, just want some cinematic recommendation. Let's do this!
What this is about? It's a movie challenge (Music A to Z Challenge) created by @serialfiller that obeys the alphabetical order where each participant has to remember two movies with the letter of the day (today the letter is D) of any country.
Don't forget about this: A brief comment on the chosen movies is also necessary.
Here are my choices:
Dial M for Murder (1954)
When it comes to making Supense movies, Alfred Hitchcock is simply a genius! I really love the vast majority of his movies (whcih are amazing!) and this one is - without any doubt - one of my favorites in his filmography because it manages to be one of the most intriguing (in investigative terms.
Everything in this movie works in a very cohesive and outstanding way, the plot is very well written, the execution is well planned, the cast is awesome and the direction is phenomenal (his perspective on what is being told is excellent). An "accidental" crime story with many surprises along the way that will catch your attention.
Disclosure (1994)
Who said that women can't gain power in the most unscrupulous ways possible? Here is an great example - albeit unusual - of the power of a woman over a man in a way that definitely isn't seen and / or talked about in society: a sexual harassment, but... In reverse (this time, it is not the woman who is harassed... but a man).
The suspense starring Michael Douglas and Demi Moore shows how far a powerful woman is willing to go to get what she wants, when she wants and where she wants. The intrigues and lies do not stop and the script (which has a good narrative structure) has great plot twists throughout the projection.
See ya in the next round, folks!
