On the streets of Twitter, I came across a tweet on the dangers we on earth are causing towards global warming.
The controversy started based on a Netflix movie called “Don’t look up”. Starring acts like Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Tyler perry, Ariana grande etc. but that is asides the point.
I am yet to see the movie but judging by the trailer, it’s basically about scientists that discovers a large comet approaching the earth which has a high possibility of destroying the planet.
Contrary to the message behind this movie, There might be no actual news on a comet hitting the earth but how about the “comet” we are building which is stimulating global warming.
Examples are the wastage caused by oil, or excessive air pollution and the likes. Human activities like this leads to climate change which produces excessive heat that traps gasses in the atmosphere.
Some dangers of global warming are rise in sea level, crop failure, ice loss in cold states and so on.
Scientist fear for the worse but the question is what are we doing to minimize it?
Few days ago, on my way out I saw a huge dark cloud in the sky. Fortunately for me, the route I passed was leading to the where dark cloud started from.
From afar, I thought it was massive until I had a closer look.
Turns out it was a fire out break, the house was still burning and it formed a huge gloomy cloud compared to our natural one.
I couldn’t ask the locals around what caused the fire because I was in motion and in order to avoid causing traffic I had to keep on moving. Although my best guess would be probably a gas leak or an electrical default.
A closer point of view
What marveled me was how nobody made any attempt to try and manage the fire. It was almost like nothing was happening because the people present were calmly watching the fire grow and grow in one particular spot.
I don’t blame them though, probably they did not want to put themselves in any form of danger. I later found out they had contacted the fire service who made their appearance some hours later.
If everyone was aware of how damaged the climate already is and the dangers it poses, maybe they would’ve made any effort possible to try and minimize the fire until the firefighters arrive.
Thankfully the fire did not circulate because there was no other buildings it could spread to or any thing prone to be inflammable around it.
Also as far as I know, nobody got hurt.
In conclusion, recalling the thread I saw on Twitter, someone quoted
“It is never too late to minimize global warming” and I totally agree.
We are all gonna die one day I know haha but let’s make the world we live in worth our while till that inevitable day comes and leave some goodies for the next generations.
Some things we can do to stop global warming are; Recycle more, consume less fossil fuels, use degradable products, plant a tree and so on.
Literally just pamper the earth, it has gone through enough.
