People scream this a lot (it's the weekend) the weekend is fun but in my case it's not about hanging out, drinking, partying and all those things extroverts do.

I love the weekend because I get to stay home away from work, I try new things like cooking foods that I've not seen anyone cook before(sometimes I end up not eating them) I read old books from my mom's collection that boost my memory and prolly watch Netflix as it's still my favorite movie company no matter the many controversy about it. People have their different opinions about things and they're free so….we all have the right to choose what we want right?

Back to the weekend, I'm already wishing for rain(badly). With the raindrops drumming on my roof, my weekend feels complete. I'll tell you why; when it's raining, I don't hear anything from the outside world. All I hear is just the rhythmical drops on my roof, no sound of cars honking in the distance or loud music from neighbors, kids screaming etc. I'll wrap myself up with a blanket sitting by my window, a flurry of rain pattered against it, a book in my hand and coffee letting out hot steam. That's what my weekend should be like(I never get bored with this).

My mom does try to take me out, sometimes I follow her and most times I don't. The outside world can be really noisy to me, don't get me wrong I wasn't born with a lot of people around and so I got used to it. My mom was a loner, she was rejected by her family and she had to leave everybody to get a life for herself and for me. When I heard her story even though I was a kid then, my situation of not wanting to be all out there got worse.

Don't get me wrong I'm not antisocial, I enjoy socializing but it must be with the right people, at the right time and appropriate moments too.

All I need for the weekend is just a quiet space that's all mine and the rain really helps me with that. Do I need to forget that I love music too, especially songs from juice world. When I'm not reading, seeing a film or working then I'm definitely listening to music. The world seems to be extra loud during the weekend and I just hope I can have my little moment of solitary before the weekend runs out quickly again.

The weekend is my time to think, reflect and plan on the deeper purpose of my life.

To my amazing readers;

If you're too tired to speak, sit next to me because I too am fluent in silence.
