Hi friends!
On steemit I only post digital art, but I am a traditional artist too!... or well I used to be. Buying paper, pencils and paint got too expensive to me, so I made a choice to switch to digital over time. I do enjoy tradition, art A LOT, there is simply nothing else like a pencil on paper ^^
So for today's little post I decided to show you a bit of my old traditional drawings! :)
Now I know this might be hard to believe...BUT this drawing was made back in 2012 and I was 12 back then haha :D I never liked to call myself talanted, but now that I look back on my drawing...wow I was a kid that really knew how to draw well :D
Video games were always a big part of my life and so here is a watercolor+ballpointpen drawing of a character Lightning from Final Fantasy :)Now this is not as amazing as the previous drawing, but I like it, since I can see I have gotten way more loose with my lines with this drawing plus I was trying new things like watercolor!
And once again..video games! My biggest inspiration! And of course a drawing of none other than the tomb raider Lara ^^
And the last little drawing, I believe I was around 14 when I sketched this. And this drawing has a rather sad story. I used to draw everyday for as long as I can remember, but after this certain drawing I had to stop. I didin't want to, but I had to. We could not afford to buy paper anymore, my mom used to always buy copying paper for me to draw on, but times were hard and sacrifices were made. I had to sacrifice my art for around 2 years until things got better. I still used to draw but really rarely. During these two years I mostly only drew at school, my friends would let me draw in their notebooks, but I almost always got in trouble for that haha :D
