Finding the proper home is not always an easy job. You can search for days for a ground level apartment but nothing may be available. You do not want to have to climb stairs, especially since you are a little overweight.
So, you just have to settle for the first place you find, even if it is in a walk-up to a flower pot. Just one short hop from what you wanted, but it does get a light rain early every morning at exactly 3:45, so that's good. It keeps your skin nice and moist. At least no one will step on you while you're asleep!
(By the way, I know toads cannot reason verbally in your reality, but they do in mine, so just accept it!)
