Last night we played for the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo's "Moonlight on the Mountain" annual fundraiser. We always open the event and play for two hours while food and drink venders and a good variety of bands set up their booths. Our zoo is built into the side of a mountain so the vendors and bands are located throughout as you traverse the side of this mountain. We are placed fairly close to the entrance where everyone in line can also hear. The sound travels far and is easily heard at the top as well as the parking lots. Drums call a community together. The zoo offers an early arrival VIP ticket to hear the drums, and have an up close and personal interaction with some of the animals.
Thank you, Erin, Jane, Ben, and Debbie for making it happen.
I don't have any photos of the event to share. I was tired after two hours of playing and my shaky hands would guarentee a blurry photo. We headed right out after playing to eat and drink but lost Ben for the one and only photo that turned out in my camera. I'll see if the others took any and share those later.
