Barnsley to Doncaster and back on the Transpenine Trail. I don’t know if I have ever been as muddy as this!
It had been raining heavily through the night and never really let up after I had set off in the morning. Luckily the afternoon then turned to glorious sunshine to dry me off.
I looked like a muddy tramp when I had to enter the Boat Inn to get some charge in the battery for the e-bike once the sun came out. They must have thought that I’d been lost in the wilderness!
