I have a big stack of drawings and painting that I need to post. I burnt myself out on watercolors for a while. Lately, charcoal is the only medium I can commit to. My style has changed a bit since my

I think my paintings have been too blue lately. I decided to introduce some warm colors this time. I think I've hit something of a roadblock this week while painting. There comes a time about once a year

It was a productive weekend of painting. I cant seem to get this ocean theme out of my head. Maybe I just need to paint the right ocean before I can finally get over it. I started like I always do. With

As above, so below. I had another successful day of painting. I have this fantasy where I live in a world where I wake up at 5am every morning, take a cold shower, make coffee, and paint until noon. Maybe

As above, so below. I finally got around to painting this week. I didn't start as early as I would have liked to, but I still showed up. I started things off with another border. Ever since I started adding

Change is hard. It's a lot like facing the blank page, getting started is always the hardest part. Something feels stagnant. The art keeps changing on me. I should probably follow suit. Under The Sea Thanks

It's always important to throw yourself curve balls from time to time, to keep yourself fresh and on your toes. This painting started off like all the others. I find that it's really easy to get into the

I get the sense that it's all building up to something. I've been trying to plan less and create more in the moment. The blank page is always daunting but with all things you just have to take the plunge

This is the first painting I completed after fire season ended. It felt rushed, and the whole time I was working on it there was this underlining feeling of uncertainty. So much had changed in those last

I can only speak from my own experience, but with art I have found that when my life changes my art changes with it. I like to start my newer paintings with this receding frame. I think it makes a nice

The more I paint the more abstract my art becomes. It is becoming harder and harder for me to link my work to reality. A year ago I wouldn't have called myself an abstract artist, but nowadays I can't

One of my teachers is always telling me I need to start working on a larger scale. Lucky for him, I ran out of 9x12 paper and had to bust out the 18x24 paper. It took a little time to get used to, but

I haven't painted in a few days. I'm trying to get back in to the swing of things. Let's shoot for another 7 days, 7 paintings. Or until I get another fire call. We had a family horse growing up. Her name

I've always been fascinated by the subjectivity of reality. We all live in our own little paper worlds. You can peel away as many layers as you like. Steem on!

There was once a spidery contents here but a spider has now put them inside coccoons.... Like Shelob did with Frodo Baggins~ Or maybe like those fleshy things in Aliens before the chestburster bursts out

I like sharing music that gets me in the zone, and makes me want to make art. Today's song of the day is Next To You, by Alicks. Chill vibes with a mix of melancholy. Enjoy.

I just got back from my first fire of the season. I will post regularly again until the next one. This is the fifth day out of the seven that I spent painting. I have been obsessed with painting these

I've had a decent Steemit streak these last few days. I was feeling a lot of momentum this time, but sadly I'll be out of the studio for a bit. I completed day 7's painting, and then got a fire call. Time
