This is a place where they don't barter with gold or silver. The faces of dead kings are worthless here.
At first, everything looks pretty anemic. I want to give the piece some life, but I aim for my colors to be subtle. My process is tedious, but with watercolor, I find that patience is key.
I have been told that watercolor is a "hard to control" Medium. I beg to differ. If you don't rush the paint, it will do what you ask. Wet paper is explosive and expressive, dry paper is stern. Moisture control is everything.
I am always contemplating how a section will dry, A brush stroke isn't complete until it is dry. When watercolor dries it paints itself. All you are doing is providing the paint with the right environment. I think Watercolor is comparable to a dog. You teach it tricks.
Thank's for taking a look.
