I had another successful day of painting. I have this fantasy where I live in a world where I wake up at 5am every morning, take a cold shower, make coffee, and paint until noon. Maybe someday.

So I woke up at 12:30, and being overpowered by guilt, I got to work on this painting.

With a hair dryer and a fresh cup of coffee I can bust out the border in a good 45 minutes now.

I tried something a little different with the corners this time. I was going for a kind of clam shell look to fit with the ocean theme I've been playing with lately.

I've still been reading some psychology books lately, and the whole time I was painting, I was thinking about what Jung said about the psyche, and how the conscious part of our brain is like the tip of an iceberg, and how the unconscious is the part that you don't see underneath the water.

Apparently the part you can't see is far larger.
