And as the title Run Through the Jungle of the band Credence Clearwater Revival, is how I named this publication where I expose a series of photographs of images of natural elements, that at the beginning I had the idea to arrive to another destination, but for circumstances I could not arrive to that destination that was the zoo of the city, that at the moment does not work but still there are vestiges of that place.
My journey began from my house to the place where you can see the photographs, for which I made a total distance of about 7 kilometres walking, thinking that I could reach the zoo but every time I walked I went deeper into the jungle, a part of the city where much of this vegetation is preserved, but I still didn't miss the opportunity to take these pictures of this walk, which I finally found out is a nursery and botanical garden, which is also connected to the Cachamay and Leofling parks, as well as the zoo, but I couldn't find the way to the zoo.
While walking through this botanical garden I felt the dense humidity typical of a jungle climate, and I could hear animals and insects among the trees and other species of flora, that for a moment I thought I was in a jungle totally isolated from the city, although after about 30 minutes of walking we could already find the city. That is the great contrast of this city, to feel the difference of being in a city and also to be able to feel this natural contact with this dense nature and to appreciate the beauty of these images.
All the photographs are my own and were taken with a Canon T3i camera.
