For this series of 5 photographs essentially in black and white, each one of my pets is shown, which consist of 2 dogs and 2 cats. For which I had the intention to capture in essence their looks, because it is part of the way of being and determine the personalities of each of the pets. In addition, the achromatic style gives more strength and character to these portraits, which are focused on animals.

In certain technical specifications, on the one hand these photographs enjoy natural lighting, as always from the sun and precisely at sunset, which is usually the time I like to take more pictures. With the exception of the photograph of my cat Kira, which I took at night and with a little help from a lamp, as well as the postcard of Mia, which I focused on capturing certain illuminated parts of her face.

On the other hand, regarding the composition of the images, I tried to respect the law of looks, which in photography is a way to create harmony especially with animal and human portraits, to have a better directionality and position of the figure in a proper way in the frame.

Anyway, these photographs are also part of those moments that I like to photograph my pets, where you can capture their tranquility on these occasions where they are usually themselves.

All photographs are my own and were taken with a Canon T3i camera.
