Light, composition and objects - Deranged Photography Contest
Greetings to all ! For this occasion I have the opportunity to participate in this contest in the professional category, and I was partly motivated by the influences of a Spanish photographer called Chema Madoz, who has been characterized by creating stunning images with simple objects that we can all have at home, although his photographic composition is focused on creating surreal images, in a sense, a different interpretation of what is actually the object.
In my particular case, I show this series of photographs, composed by 3 statuettes, as icons referents worldwide, such as the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty and the Colosseum in Rome, objects that previously I made a photographic work that was focused on highlighting the silhouettes generated against the light, but in this circumstance I wanted to look for other perspectives in the composition of these objects, as capturing the contrast in some photographs between the object and its shadow, the composition between objects, and even the use of some objects as part of a filter, as can be seen for example in the second photograph, which basically took the statuette of the statue of liberty, and between some of its compartments I took the composite image inside that hole, thus creating an effect similar to that of a film so to speak.
In all the objects I tried to create a different perspective in its composition, and I show the image of each one of the objects, in order to keep in mind what I worked with in this section of photographs. I also emphasize the fact of taking advantage of natural lighting, to capture that warm tone that I wanted for these photographs, with the exception of black-and-white photographs, the following are not included.
At the moment of finishing this photographic work, my kitten couldn't resist her curiosity and came out on the scene in the last picture posted in this publication, immortalizing herself in this moment forever.
