Well, I think everyone on this platform knows about the situation in Venezuela, the country where I live. It's an ongoing situation, still quite tense, but we're all trying to stay calm and wait to see what happens in the coming days. Ultimately, I hope everything that happens is peaceful and calm; that's what's most important for everyone. However, this post isn't about what I've mentioned. It's just to provide some context, because I'm only going to focus on what I want to show, which in this case is this series of photographs I've been meaning to take for a few days now. I took some pictures on my last day exploring the city, but today, of course, given everything that's happened, I preferred to stay home and relax.
It's a series that includes street scenes, some architecture, and a few people, while other photographs focus on nature and its striking contrast in black and white. That's what I usually look for when composing my images—those contrasts that are created in certain photographs.
Whether it's a waterfall, a small leaf, or any other natural or artificial object, I seek to create harmony within the photographic frame, a distinction between its form and composition that may be of interest to me. I hope that in the coming days everything improves for the benefit of all of us in Venezuela and that this year is positive in every way.
