You can control this remote switch through the internet, even from the other country using the application on your smartphone.
You can plug anything you want to this switch. I am using it to be able to remotely restart my Ethereum miner, but you can use it for lights, and other devices to power up or restart them remotely.
You can also check power usage and cost using the app. From my experience this device showing accurate power usage, however, the power cost monitor is not very accurate.
You can also put this switch on schedule, that's very useful when you are going on vacation. You can plug your lights to it and set them up to switch on every evening.
