I'm going through some stressful transitions in life right now. Like so many families in my area the landlord has decided to sell and I am faced with trying to find affordable housing in my current town or relocate. I just got back from checking out the school in another town, and I was very disheartened because I felt like it wouldn't be a good fit for my middle child, who needs a particular learning environment to be successful. Simply put there are a lot of factors and many pros and cons to every option, and I am supremely stressed.

My mind tends to go to a dark place when I am stressed, and I can easy get overwhelmed with either depression or the need to escape mentally, this ends up coming out creatively. I expect my work to take on darker themes and moods until I get through this patch. I also expect it to be highly productive because I need to create to deal with everything emotionally. It is probably pretty typical for the artist type personality. I know there is a definite love/ hate aspect to how I function and feel about this creative dynamic.

I'd love to hear how other people deal with difficult situations and decisions, how does creativity come into the process for you, or if it completely leaves in difficult times?
