Personally, this is overdue for centuries !! It was permitted by legislation because it was thought to deter criminals ; who would be afraid of counter attack by their victims!!
But history has again and again proved this has never been the case , especially as it concern mass and suicidal shootings, who are not wary of the consequences of their actions. They could be expecting their punishment, but they care less of it.
Definitely,there wouldn't be such attacks and mass killings if the marauders, because of instituted arm control had no access to instrument of mass shootings!!
