I started blogging in the late 90s and I didn't really have a niche.
Back then blogs were about what the name suggested - short for weblog, a log on the web. So, everyone really just wrote about whatever was on their mind that day.
I don't mind sharing my opinions with others so I thought I'd just write what I thought about stuff. In an attempt to be memorable, I added the tag line "my thoughts on faith, family, freedom, and fun"
I was a new father who grew up in the church, believed in individual freedom, and had only recently learned that it was okay to have fun - not work all the time.
My writing has focused mostly on those topics over the last many years - very much on and off, btw - so when I set up here at Steemit, I just thought I'd do that same thing.
My opinions have changed on faith considerably and I actually write about those topics mostly in other places now.
In addition to those things, I plan to write a bit here about programming and Minecraft.
