Over the course of the century,people has been subjected to alot of troubles,suffering and mistreatment. Wars and international conflicts has claimed the life of untold numbers,during the worldwar 1 and worldwar 2 ,about 80 million people,plus soldiers lost their life. This alarming number of death, natural disasters and various outbreaks,has lead many to think those God care about us.
It's understandable If you have asked such question in your while you have encountered an experince in life. On a human standpoint it would seem as if he doesn't care,but that is quite the opposite,God cares about us,the bible made it clear that God cares here are a few bible quotations that assures us that:
- 1 Peter 5:6,7:(new world translation of the Holy Scripture) Humble yourself,therefore,under the mighty arm of God,so that he will exalt you in due time, 7:while you throw all you anxiety(troubles) on him because he cares for you.
Verse 7 makes it clear,beacuse God(Jehovah)cares for you. Humility is therefore important,commiting ourselves under God,he will surely guide and protect us. We should look to Jehovah's for refuge,trusting in him completely to help us when we face difficulties,examining his word the bible will also give us a measure of comfort when we are confronted with challenges,regular prayer with God is also important,if we are to cope with life's challenges.
1 Peter 3:12(king James version)For the eyes if the Lord(Jehovah) are on the righteous and his ears are open unto thine prayers,but the face of the Lord is is against them that do evil.
Jehovah cares for the righteous,that is why his face Is toward them,he pays close attention to them,his ear is always open to their prayers and supplication. But Jehovah surely is against the ungodly people,he dosen5 hear their prayers.
Since God cares about us,why is that we still experince suffering.
Humans still suffer,because of the time we live in,these can be categorized into three different areas.they are :
Selfishness and hatred
Ecclesiastes 8:9: makes it clea4 that man has dominated man to his injury, due to the selfishness and greediness of humans on earth today, innocent people are often the victims of their rule acts and injustice.
Time and unforeseen occurance
Ecclesiastes 9:11 there we understood that another cause of suffering on earth is unforeseen occurances,being at the wrong place at the wrong time also constitute to suffering and victimization.
The devil(satan)
The bible has identified the principal cause of evil on the world,alluding it to its ruler,satan.(1 John 5:19) the whole world is lying inthe power of the wicked one Satan the devil. He manipulates and and controls the activities going on in this world. But the bible also makes it clea4 that this cruel ruler will not continue to harm humans indefinately,Jehovah has promised to remove him from the surface of the earth (Hebrews2:14) he will reduce him to nothing. Jehovah's cares for us that is why he has promised that,and he will surely do it, so be of good courage Jehovah is aware of your troubles.
