Dystopian fiction has always been something I enjoyed reading. And a while back, I thought I'd give it a shot to see if I could draw something that had the dystopian feel to it. While it may not look all that dystopic, I managed to give this piece a grungy vibe which I was rather proud of.
Obviously, I started with the basic outline of the character and a few details.
Then more details were added and a bit of colour.
And finally, I worked on the background with some addition of 'soft-glow' and 'add' layers, and I was done!
As I draw on my smartphone, colouring does take a bit of time, but I guess it's worth it in the end. This piece is definitely not how I usually draw but, it looks alright.
