Sometimes... the sun likes to photobomb the trees. You can't blame it though... the sun, that is. There is so much beauty in the magical way sunlight drips through the leaves. One could complain about the extra "weeds" that are here and there. But I think it added to the dreamy effect this photo possesses... don't you think? We often forget about the beneficial properties of some of those weeds, but to be quite honest, I just hadn't had a chance to run the mower yet! Living out in the woods makes for some interesting yard tending duties sometimes. But... when you know the lay of the land, you know there's a rock here... stump there... "Oh... that's Poison Ivy!" there... Knowing what you have to face "beforehand", makes it a little easier. Plus, your lawnmower blades last a lot longer that way! Hadn't noticed the watermark being on the left middle side, rather than the left bottom. But I didn't change it... did you catch it?
Hey! Got that watermark in the right spot!! Sometimes... the trees are photobombed by an old barn. This is down the road from us... The people that own this property, lost their home to a fire several years ago. Lightning struck about three feet from their propane tank; if it weren't for their dog, they probably wouldn't have made it out alive. Of course... thank goodness the tank did not blow (sarcasm on their behalf) but long story short... they all made it out, and were able to rebuild their home. The house is just to the right of this photo, but I like to capture cool #oldbarnproject sometimes and share them with @thekittygirl. She has an awesome collection of photographs with this very TAG included. Not to steer away from treeuesday mind you... but still like to spread the love around!! Barns are made from trees... sometimes!! Oh yes... that dog lives it up now, with his own personal dog house out in front of their yard!! Of course, you didn't think I was going to forget about sharing that cool barn TAG did you?!? This is an older post!! so please don't upvote! But check out the OLD BARN № 095 post by @**thekittygirl.
Yes... sometimes the trees get photobombed by the moon. I was actually trying to get a photo of a Praying Mantis, one night after arriving home from picking my son up from work. He flew off of course (the mantis... not my son), but I was left with this surreal image and thought it looked pretty cool! This is actually a photo of our arbor with what was left of some Morning Glory vines trellising around. Trees in the background give that spooky vibe, but again... I like the whole "nighttime vibe" thing out here, as we live far enough away from the city, as to not get flooded with lights... just that beautiful moon. But I think this brings something to light, that we all need to remember right now, and the whole subliminal vibe of my posts...
Can't see the forest... for the trees...
This is an idiom that many of us may know... Defined from the Grammarist as:
To say the idiom cannot see the forest for the trees means that a person or organization cannot see the big picture because the focus is too much on the details. It would be like someone needing to paint an entire house in one day, but spending half the day on picking out the right color.
Sometimes... we get too focused on things around us, to realize what's going on "right here"... in this space. Whether your own backyard or perhaps someone you care about... a neighbor. The world continues to be in such an unraveled state. From the turmoil in Ukraine to Asian spiders on the East Coast, and even Opera GX integrating Logitech G LIGHTSYNC RGB. Ok... the last part is just some cool tech stuff. But you see what I mean, I hope... By reading things, we learn. When we learn, we tend to understand things better. I am not trying to take away from the importance of the humanitarian need of Ukraine, any more than I would forget about all the homeless here in the States. Things happen... things take precedence. It's all important! What were we talking about? Oh yes...
